NRL Round 22 Tips: Best Bets and Predictions for Every Game

The race to September is intensifying with just six rounds remaining, and Round 22 shapes as another pivotal weekend.

The Dolphins return refreshed from the bye, the Bulldogs are close to full strength at the right time of year, while Penrith, Cronulla and the Roosters all face important tests as they look to cement their top-four positions.

Our model has identified several strong betting opportunities this week, with line bets featuring heavily alongside one standout team total and a value head-to-head selection.

North Queensland Cowboys vs Sydney Roosters

Best Bet: Sydney Roosters -5.5
The Cowboys continue to punch above their weight at home, but the loss of Tom Dearden leaves them short of creativity. The Roosters regain stability through their experienced spine and should have enough class to pull away in the second half.

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Dolphins

Best Bet: Dolphins Over 30.5 Team Points
The Dolphins return from the bye with one of the league's most potent attacks against a Dragons side that has struggled to contain quality opposition. With Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Herbie Farnworth and Selwyn Cobbo leading the backline, the visitors look capable of posting a big total.

Melbourne Storm vs Canterbury Bulldogs

Best Bet: Canterbury Bulldogs -3.5
The Bulldogs finally have continuity in their side and are building momentum at exactly the right time. Melbourne remain without several key players, including Harry Grant and Cameron Munster, making it difficult to see the Storm matching Canterbury across 80 minutes.

Gold Coast Titans vs New Zealand Warriors

Best Bet: Gold Coast Titans Head-to-Head
This is the value play of the round. The Titans have quietly developed into a dangerous attacking side and welcome AJ Brimson back into the spine. The Warriors remain a quality outfit, but Gold Coast's recent improvement and home advantage make them an attractive underdog.

Penrith Panthers vs Canberra Raiders

Best Bet: Canberra Raiders +10.5
The Raiders have rediscovered their confidence over the past month and continue to challenge sides through the middle of the field. Penrith should still win, but their recent performances haven't justified double-digit favouritism, making the start appealing.

Brisbane Broncos vs Newcastle Knights

Best Bet: Brisbane Broncos -5.5
Brisbane's season is effectively on the line, while Newcastle have been devastated by injuries, losing Dylan Brown for the season and still sweating on Kalyn Ponga's fitness. At Suncorp Stadium, the Broncos should respond with one of their better performances.

Cronulla Sharks vs South Sydney Rabbitohs

Best Bet: Cronulla Sharks 1-12
Cronulla are among the competition's form teams, but South Sydney continue to fight despite their lengthy injury list. The Sharks should extend their winning run, although the Rabbitohs have enough resilience to keep this contest respectable.

Wests Tigers vs Parramatta Eels

Best Bet: Parramatta Eels 13+
Mitchell Moses and Junior Paulo have transformed Parramatta's competitiveness over the past fortnight, while the Tigers continue to struggle for consistency both on and off the field. If the Eels start well, they have the firepower to turn this into a comfortable victory.
