NRL Round 21 Tips: Best Bets and Predictions for Every Game

Round 21 could prove pivotal in shaping the top eight, with several contenders welcoming back key players while others are forced to overcome fresh injury setbacks. The Roosters receive a major boost with James Tedesco and Lindsay Collins returning, Mitchell Moses is back for Parramatta, while Manly's finals hopes have taken another hit following Tom Trbojevic's latest hamstring injury.

Our model expects another competitive round, with only a couple of games projected to produce comfortable margins. Here are the best bets for every Round 21 matchup.

Parramatta Eels vs Penrith Panthers

Best Bet: Panthers -12.5
Penrith rarely stay down for long and this looks like the perfect opportunity to bounce back. Mitchell Moses strengthens Parramatta, but the Panthers' dominance through the middle and outstanding recent record against the Eels should see them cover a double-digit line.

Newcastle Knights vs Sydney Roosters

Best Bet: Roosters Head-to-Head
The return of James Tedesco, Lindsay Collins and Robert Toia gives the Roosters another level of quality. Newcastle will make this competitive at home, but Sydney's class across the park should prove enough to secure an important away victory.

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Melbourne Storm

Best Bet: Storm Head-to-Head
Neither side is close to full strength, but Melbourne continue to find ways to remain competitive despite their injury crisis. The Storm's defensive structure and experience give them the edge over an inconsistent Rabbitohs outfit.

Canberra Raiders vs Wests Tigers

Best Bet: Raiders -10.5
Canberra have too much to play for against a Tigers side whose season continues to unravel. Even without Hudson Young, the Raiders possess the stronger forward pack and should control territory throughout the afternoon.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs New Zealand Warriors

Best Bet: Warriors Head-to-Head
The Warriors continue to answer every challenge despite their lengthy injury list. Canterbury regain Stephen Crichton, but New Zealand have consistently delivered in tight contests and remain genuine premiership contenders.

North Queensland Cowboys vs Brisbane Broncos

Best Bet: Broncos Head-to-Head
Brisbane's confidence is soaring after their win over Penrith and their experienced spine should prove the difference in Townsville. The Cowboys remain dangerous at home, but the Broncos appear the more complete side entering Round 21.

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Gold Coast Titans

Best Bet: Titans Head-to-Head
The Titans have quietly improved over the past month and continue to play with plenty of attacking confidence. St George Illawarra have also been competitive recently, but our model gives Gold Coast the edge in another close contest.

Manly Sea Eagles vs Cronulla Sharks

Best Bet: Sharks Head-to-Head
Tom Trbojevic's absence is a significant blow for Manly against one of the form teams of the competition. Cronulla continue to build momentum and have the balance across the park to leave Brookvale with two valuable competition points.
