New Zealand Warriors vs Dolphins Tips and Prediction

The Warriors look well placed to capitalise on a tough turnaround for the Dolphins in this ANZAC Day clash in Wellington.

Why the Warriors hold the edge

This shapes as a strong situational play against the Dolphins.

Coming off a draining golden point clash against Penrith in Darwin, the physical and mental toll is difficult to ignore. The combination of heat, travel and emotional energy required to push the Panthers places teams at a disadvantage the following week.

That trend has already played out multiple times this season, with most teams struggling to back up after facing Penrith.

The Dolphins now face another challenge with travel to Wellington and an ANZAC Day fixture, making this one of the toughest turnarounds of the round.

Warriors building momentum

New Zealand have been one of the more impressive attacking teams to start the season.

They have scored 38 or more points in four of their five wins, consistently applying pressure through strong yardage and efficient execution.

Even in last week’s win over the Titans, the Warriors built a 22-0 halftime lead before easing late, highlighting their ability to control games early.

Best Bets

Warriors -5.5

The scheduling spot heavily favours New Zealand, who should have the energy edge.

Warriors Over 28.5 Team Points

Their attacking output has been consistently high in wins and shapes as a key angle again.

Alofiana Khan-Pereira 1st, 2nd or 3rd Tryscorer

One of the most reliable finishers in the competition with an elite strike rate.

Herbie Farnworth Anytime Tryscorer

The Dolphins’ most dangerous attacking weapon and likely focal point if they generate scoring chances.

What could go wrong?

If the Dolphins manage the turnaround better than expected, their attacking ability could keep this close.

Weather conditions in Wellington could also slow scoring and impact the team total angle.
