The Florida Panthers made no mistake in 2024, getting the ultimate revenge from their 2023 Stanley Cup Final loss to Vegas by lifting the trophy themselves in 2025. Can the Panthers do it again or will there be a new Stanley Cup Champion in 2025?

Despite being the current Stanley Cup Champions, the Florida Panthers are dual third favourites at $11.00 with the Dallas Stars, who were also a top contender in the playoffs in 2024. It is Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers ($9.00) who start the season shortest, with bookies and punters alike backing the 2024 runners-up to do as Florida did and come back in year two and win it all. The New Jersey Devils suffered a plethora of injuries in the 2023-24 season which hurt their chances, missing the playoffs completely, however, they start the season as the second favourite at $10.00 right behind the Oilers.

The Colorado Avalanche and Carolina Hurricanes were so close in 2024 and will be contenders again, both starting the year at $12.00 to lift the Cup. The New York Rangers ($14.00) made it to the Eastern Conference Final but were outclassed by eventual winners Florida and will be in the hunt again in 2023-24, while the Vancouver Canucks ($15.00) and Toronto Maple Leafs will also be in the mix.
