PlayUp Review October 2024

If you love fantasy sports you are definitely going to enjoy using PlayUp, who have incorporated their fantasy sports giant DraftStars into both their website and mobile app.

PlayUp is not just about Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS), they also boast some of the best odds on racing and straight forward sports betting.

In 2019 PlayUp was formed after purchasing and merging MadBookie, ClassicBet and TopBetter together, which gives them plenty of experience in the standard racing and sportsbook industry.

With the addition of DraftStars, PlayUp has become a major player in the betting industry and has been expanding at a comfortable rate since being founded.

With its simple dark two colour scheme and basic layout on both the web and in their app, PlayUp is very easy to use and it is very simple to find what you are looking for. PlayUp doesn't muck around with any over the top graphics, keeping their users focused on what they are there for, and that is to bet.

PlayUp Verdict

Although the first thing that comes to most Aussies' minds when they think of PlayUp is the connection to DraftStars, they offer a pretty good range of markets on sports and racing and do a good job providing some of the best odds around.

PlayUp doesn't offer as many sports markets as some of the big guns in the industry, but they are not too far off. They cover all the sports and racing that you want and need, but it is all about the DFS.

If you play AFL or NRL Supercoach you should have a PlayUp account so you have the opportunity to rake in some serious cash with your fantasy team skills and wave it in the face of your mates.

PlayUp Horse Racing Review

You won’t miss any racing action with PlayUp as they cover all of the Australian thoroughbreds, trots and dogs as well as international races from all around the world, including New Zealand, UK, Ireland, France and Hong Kong.

The kicker with PlayUp is that they still offer the Best Tote or Staring Price on selected thoroughbred races, meaning you will always get the best price that is available.

Of Course PlayUp offers a one-click form guide that gives you all the basic info you need to knowbefore a race like career, distance and track form, as any good bookie should.

What PlayUp offers that most  other online bookies do not is a tab that is purely dedicated to their recent form, Unfortunately, PlayUp doesn't offer too much in depth analysis on racing.

PlayUp Sports Betting Review

PlayUp’s sportsbook is continuously growing and is shaping up to be a more than capable addition to their Daily Fantasy Sports partner DraftStars.

PlayUp covers all of the major Aussie sports like AFL and NRL with between 100-150 markets, as well as plenty of betting options for the other local sports as well as all of the big leagues overseas including Soccer, Ice Hockey, American Football, Tennis and Golf.

The joy here too is that you share the same member account and wallet with DraftStars, so if you are playing fantasy and want to back your gun players on the sportsbook you don't have to worry about transferring funds into another account.

PlayUp Odds

PlayUp offers Best Tote or Starting Price odds for selected Australian thoroughbreds, as well as very competitive odds on all other domestic horse racing, harness and greyhounds as well as all of their international meets.

When it comes to their sportsbook they are one of the best in the business when it comes to matching the market’s top price. They will not always have the best price but it will be pretty darn’ close.

PlayUp Mobile App

The PlayUp app is known for its simplicity, a lot like its desktop version. It is black and white and easy to read and navigate through.

It is quick to find that ‘next jump’ if that is racing or sports. You can also scroll through the main menu or at the top to find the desired sport you are after.

PlayUp History

PlayUp Interactive Pty Ltd, an Australian gaming company, made a splash in the gambling industry in early 2019 through the acquisition of several renowned Australian bookmakers.

They strategically purchased popular brands such as Classicbet, TopBetta, and MadBookie and subsequently merged them to form the PlayUp brand, solidifying their presence in the market.

Furthermore, PlayUp also acquired Draftstars, the largest daily fantasy site in Australia. This strategic move positioned them as one of the key players in the thriving Daily Fantasy Sports industry Down Under.

With their diverse portfolio of brands and ventures, PlayUp Interactive has established a prominent position within the Australian gaming landscape.
