Sydney head across the ditch looking to spark their Ignite Cup campaign, and this sets up perfectly for them. The Kings were humbled by their bogey side Tasmania before the break, but across the season they’ve still been the best defensive unit in the NBL, and that travels.
New Zealand got a much-needed win over Cairns thanks to a balanced scoring spread and another big outing from Sam Mennenga, who’s having a breakout year. The issue is consistency, the Breakers can look great in patches then disappear for long stretches, which is dangerous against a disciplined Sydney outfit.
The Kings’ defence against a streaky Breakers offence, plus Davis’ history of torching New Zealand, leans this strongly towards the visitors.
Best Bet
Sydney’s defence, recent H2H dominance and the Breakers’ patchy home form all point to the Kings covering a small line.

You’ve got a classic “irresistible force vs very moveable object” matchup here. South East Melbourne bring one of the league’s most efficient offences into a building where the Hawks simply haven’t been able to get stops for long enough stretches.
SEM’s last outing before the break was a weird one with a shortened rotation, low bench impact and a flat shooting performance against Adelaide, but across the season they’ve been as reliable as any team offensively. They share the ball, space the floor and punish poor defensive teams.
Illawarra are fun and free-flowing again, especially with JaVale McGee anchoring things inside and QJ Peterson providing punch off the bench. But the same issues keep popping up: defensive lapses, especially on the perimeter, and too much reliance on McGee to fix everything.
Against a Phoenix side that moves the ball as well as anyone, that’s a bad mix.
Best Bet
The line feels short given the gap between SEM’s offence and Illawarra’s defence. Over four quarters, Phoenix should generate enough clean looks to pull away.

Perth Wildcats vs Melbourne United – Round 11 Tips & Best Bet

Perth pushed Melbourne hard before the break but still went down by 11, and that’s been the story of their season against elite sides, competitive for long stretches, just lacking the late-game execution to close it out.
United, on the other hand, look every bit like a title favourite. Their trio of imports in Milton Doyle, Tyson Walker and Jesse Edwards have transformed the offence, while they remain one of the best defensive units in the league. They’re top of the charts in both offensive rating (120.5) and defensive rating (106.3).
At home, the Wildcats will bring energy and crowd factor, and you can usually bank on a big game from one of their frontcourt stars like Kristian Doolittle or Jo Lual-Acuil. But Melbourne’s depth, shot creation and late-game composure give them the higher floor and ceiling.
Best Bet
We’ve already seen United beat this Perth group before the break and there’s little reason to jump off them now. Their two-way balance is simply better.

Adelaide 36ers vs Brisbane Bullets – Round 11 Tips & Best Bet

Adelaide are arguably the form team of the league right now. With Bryce Cotton leading the NBL in scoring and the bench revitalised by Dejan Vasiljevic moving into a sixth-man role, the 36ers suddenly have balance across all four quarters.
Defensively, they’ve also tightened the screws ranking top three in opposition points and rebounds which is bad news for a Bullets outfit that is struggling badly to score and stay healthy. Brisbane have topped 85 points just once in their last five games and sit near the bottom of the league for offensive efficiency.
There’s always a chance the Bullets get up for a one-off game, but all the underlying numbers and recent form lines point to another comfortable Adelaide win.
Best Bet
With the 36ers rolling at both ends of the floor and the Bullets battling injuries and cohesion, this has blowout potential. The current line still looks a touch light.

New Zealand Breakers vs Tasmania JackJumpers – Round 11 Tips & Best Bet

Tasmania arrive well-rested and back at full strength, and despite their poor 1–6 history at Spark Arena, this matchup looks far more favourable with David Johnson returning to the lineup. The JackJumpers’ offence has lifted immediately with Johnson’s floor spacing and playmaking, helping open lanes for Bryce Hamilton, who’s averaging 19.3 ppg and already dropped 22 on Sydney before the break.
The Breakers are coming off a big 95–90 win over the Kings, led by an elite shooting night from Parker Jackson-Cartwright, but Tasmania’s deeper rotation and improved scoring rhythm give them a real shot at breaking their Spark Arena hoodoo.
