AFL Round 19 Tips 2026: Best Bets for Every Game

Round 19 will have a big impact on ladder standings with wins and losses set to severly impact finals hopes.

St Kilda could strengthen their chance at a top 6 finish with a win over Geelong on Thursday night while Carlton and Collingwood face off on Saturday night at the MCG.

Here are the best bets for every AFL Round 19 game using the workbook projections and the Round 19 True Footy analysis.

Geelong Cats vs St Kilda Saints

Best Bet: St Kilda +13.5
The Cats are getting hammered on the injury list while St Kilda are building momentum. The Saints midfield are playing like an elite unit and with some more tweaks to their defence could be a dark horse for finals.

Sydney Swans vs Adelaide Crows

Best Bet: Sydney -12.5
The Swans were blown out in the final term against the Dockers last weekend but were extremely dominant in the first half. Adelaide don't have the defensive pressure to hold the Swans down.

Port Adelaide Power vs Fremantle Dockers

Best Bet: Fremantle -48.5
A bunch of players missing for Port Adelaide makes this one pretty easy to back. Fremantle were ruthless in their win over the Swans last week and there is not a lot that can stop them save for their own accuracy in front of goal. This could get ugly.

North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Melbourne Demons

Best Bet: Over 178.5 Game Total
Both of these teams can open up scoring and get the run going. Two straight games between these two opponents have smashed this total and the Over is underrepresented so far this season. This could turn into an old fashion shootout.

Collingwood vs Carlton

Best Bet: Carlton +6.5
Collingwood have had the wood over their cross city rivals in recent time but the margins have been extremely close. The Blues have a new lease on life in the back half of this season and it is essentially in Collingwood's best interest to lose a couple games and fall out of the wildcard.

West Coast Eagles vs Brisbane Lions

Best Bet: West Coast +44.5
Brisbane should bank the four points, but don't expect a blowout, West Coast have been competitive at Optus Stadium in 2026. The Eagles continue to fight for four quarters, particularly at home, where they have consistently kept quality opposition within striking distance despite their position on the ladder.

Richmond Tigers vs Hawthorn Hawks

Best Bet: Hawthorn -51.5
It is very difficult to back these massive lines but given 2 of the 3 teams that have covered lines of 50+ this season have done it against Richmond it makes it a little easier. Hawthorn are in need of a game to stretch their legs and test some proper ball movement ahead of finals. Ginnivan could kick a bag.

Gold Coast Suns vs Western Bulldogs

Best Bet: Gold Coast Suns 1-39
The Suns have been dismal in recent weeks and the coach has put a line through their season. This could have an impact in two ways, they could either fall apart even more or regroup with the pressure lifted off their backs and start to perform to their skill level. Given the game is at home, where they have been strong, the lean is clearer.

Essendon Bombers vs GWS Giants

Best Bet: GWS -39.5
GWS are hard to gauge, they have lost games they should have won and recently ended the winning streak of the Dockers in a dominant fashion. But we do know what Essendon are, and they are a basket case. If the Giants can create some early scoreboard pressure with their elite run then this game gets out to a big margin by the final siren.
