AFL Round 14 Tips 2026: Best Bets for Every Game

Round 14 is a smaller slate thanks to the bye rounds, but there are still some strong betting opportunities across the board.

The totals market stands out this week, with several games projecting well above the current number. Sydney also look well placed against Port Adelaide, while Melbourne should bounce back strongly at the MCG.

Here are the best bets for every AFL Round 14.

Western Bulldogs vs Adelaide Crows

Best Bet: Adelaide Crows Head-to-Head
This shapes as one of the tighter games of the round. The Bulldogs have done a great job rescuing their season with wins over Melbourne, Collingwood and Hawthorn, but Adelaide continue to impress despite missing some key players. Jordan Dawson is in outstanding form and the Crows look capable of pinching a valuable away win at Marvel.

Geelong Cats vs Gold Coast Suns

Best Bet: Over 179.5 Total Points
Geelong should be difficult to beat at GMHBA Stadium, but the better betting angle looks to be the total. Gold Coast have enough talent to contribute offensively, while Geelong's attack has been one of the most dangerous in the competition for much of the season. A high-scoring game looks likely.

Melbourne Demons vs Essendon Bombers

Best Bet: Over 163.5 Total Points
Melbourne have been nearly unbeatable at the MCG this season and should be too strong here, but the total is the standout play. Essendon showed signs of improvement last week and should be able to contribute enough scoring to help this game clear a relatively modest number.

North Melbourne Kangaroos vs West Coast Eagles

Best Bet: Over 165.5 Total Points
Both teams are coming off disappointing losses and should view this as a genuine chance to bank four points. These games between lower-ranked sides can often open up when confidence starts to build, and the total looks more appealing than trying to pick a winner.

Port Adelaide Power vs Sydney Swans

Best Bet: Sydney Swans -17.5
Port Adelaide have a habit of making life difficult for Sydney, but it is hard to ignore the gap between these teams right now. The Swans remain one of the most dangerous sides in the competition when they get momentum, while Port have struggled to turn competitive performances into wins.

Richmond Tigers vs Brisbane Lions

Best Bet: Will Ashcroft Under 25.5 Disposals
Brisbane should win this game comfortably, but the best value sits in the player markets. Richmond have remained competitive despite a long injury list and should make Brisbane work for possession around the contest. The under on Ashcroft's disposal line stands out as the strongest individual player play of the round.

St Kilda Saints vs GWS Giants

Best Bet: Over 183.5 Total Points
This is probably the toughest game of the round to line up. St Kilda have quietly improved over the last month, while GWS are capable of looking like a top-four side one week and something completely different the next. Rather than picking a side, the total offers the cleaner betting angle.
